Be HOT yoga


I decided to try "hot yoga" with my friend and coworker, Heather (previous blog post about making pickles if you don't remember Heather's awesomeness). The first class at this yoga studio is free (woowhoo). Now hot yoga is just doing yoga in a room usually 95-100 degrees and then there are humidifiers running so...yeah. Basically I was sweating before we even started doing anything and then I was actually wet after the workout- actually dripping wet like I'd just been swimming- which is super gross I know. It was actually a very simple workout, except for some reason my nose started hurting- like actual pain- and then I felt lightheaded. I had to sit for a few minutes and drink quite a bit of water to feel better before I continued. I really enjoyed it because even if I hadn't been doing yoga poses I felt like I was sweating out a lot of impurities. I will definitely do it again.
Afterward we went and got some Baskin Robbins ice cream. I was only going to try Black Walnut and Rocky Road, but the Baskin Robbins worker repeatedly ask me if I were "sure" and then insisted I try the flavor before getting a full scoop.  He was right- Black Walnut tastes like someone just burnt a walnut...no bueno. So I got a scoop of Rocky Road and Chocolate Walnut (buy one get one free) instead with Chocolate Walnut being totally new.. 3 flavors down ~28 more to go.

  1. i did hot yoga once.....i sweat off 5 pounds of water weight. no one told me to wear as little clothes as possible....next time i go i will know better (i was freezing from my sweaty t-shirt)!
